Primary Purpose

The Senior Director, Global Employee Engagement leads the strategic development and execution of employee retention and engagement programs to include performance reviews, annual goal and objective setting, new employee orientation, diversity, equity and inclusion, and strategic work programs (i.e. Emmes part-time programs). The Senior Director will be responsible for developing global strategy and executing activities to monitor and improve engagement across the employee life cycle. The Senior Director will focus on delivering programs in line with global business needs.

The Senior Director will work with global teams to define successful employee engagement strategies to achieve heightened employee retention in support of achieving project team deliverables and Company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Partners with global business leaders and teams to develop strategic employee engagement programs, recommends programs according to global company needs; identifies process improvements and defines and measures the success of recommended programs.
Establish and monitor strategic metrics to assess effectiveness of global engagement and retention programs
Works across human capital and leadership teams to define the employee experience.
Searches out opportunities to create meaningful impact throughout the life cycle of an employee’s career from onboarding through promotional opportunities, with a focus on at- risk populations, maintain positive turnover rates, and applicable components of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Design and deliver engagement programs aligned with Emmes’ mission, taking employee feedback into account and utilizing surveying mechanisms to understand opportunities.
Drive engagement survey processes, leveraging employee feedback to implement actionable plans to increase employee engagement, employee recognition, work productivity, recognition programs (e.g. length of service, spot awards) and overall retention.
Act as a global expert and advisor, leading employee recognition and engagement programs across regional, globally dispersed businesses responsible for onboarding and engagement programs at the local country level.
Provide oversight of global employee relations Director; ensure awareness and proactive resolution for global employee relations issues that may arise within a specific geographic region
Experience

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of applicable employee engagement experience leading strategic programs and/or obtained via a strategically focused human resources senior leadership role with proven, increased accountability and measured successes
Demonstrated success developing technical and behavioral skill building programs, including employee lifecycle roadmaps focused on the employee experience
Previous history supervising one or senior leaders accountable for oversight of employee relations; global employee relations expertise preferred
Understanding of related technical areas of knowledge impacting upon employee retention including global marketplace issues affecting retention in a post-pandemic environment.
Work experience overseeing the employee engagement function for a high growth company or industry preferred
Prior demonstrated global experience providing oversight of globally dispersed employee engagement programs
Experience managing employee engagement and labor relations in a global environment including but not limited to Canada, India, and/or Europe preferred
Understanding of human resource principals including retention, and diversity and inclusion strongly preferred
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; proficiency in written and spoken English required; fluency in a secondary language including French, Italian, Russian and/or German preferred
