How to Prepare for an Interview
Rabota v london
It’s a known fact that it’s not enough just to be a good at what you do. You also need to know how to effectively present and “sell” yourself. However, not everyone knows how to do this well. In this blog we’ll explain not only how to look for a job in the UK and prepare for any interview, but also tell you how to conduct yourself during interviews, teach you some techniques designed to help you to remain calm in any situation and equip you with the best answers to the typical and most challenging questions that interviewers will throw at you.
Looking for an ideal job is like looking for your second half. At the end of the day you will be spending 8-9 hours, 5 days a week together (if not more than that!). So, if you are not prepared for the meeting with your future employer, or not effective in making a good impression then, most likely, you won’t succeed, no matter what you have achieved in the past.
The most important thing to do before any interview, whether it is face-to-face, over the phone or online, is to prepare. Just as you would always prepare for an exam, you should also prepare for a job interview. Allow 2-3 days before each interview for preparation.
Ideally, you should ask the person who arranged the interview for some information concerning likely topics of conversation and what kind of questions you will be asked. However, you will often receive vague answers or guidance, which isn’t particularly helpful. Therefore, we will do our best to prepare you for anything!
To prepare for a job interview you will need:
– A computer, tablet or mobile device with access to the internet
– A notepad and pen, or note taking software (e.g. MS Word) to make notes
– The Job description. If you don’t have one of these then ask! It’s very difficult to prepare without one
– The names and positions of people who will be interviewing you
