Job Description
Company/Name: Hatching Dragons.
Location: London EC2Y.
Job Type: Full Time.
Specialism: Sales.
Who we are
Hatching Dragons is one of the UK’s leading bilingual early years educational brands, having built its reputation around Chinese and English immersion for which we have received 99% positive reviews from our community on daynurseries.co.uk. We’re now expanding our languages portfolio with the planned launch of a Spanish bilingual school in NE London in the coming year – our aim is to become the de facto bilingual early years immersion provider across the UK and so have Russian, French, Arabic and more languages in our pipeline for future schools developments. We’re also launching new childcare services in language enriched weekend schools, holiday camps and after school clubs in the communities we serve, along with home based educators and tutors to service childcare needs in the home environment, which we really do think we’re an exciting place to work for those who want to continue to improve, do something new and different in the space
Why now?
Our schools are growing rapidly – 366% this year alone – and we can’t keep up with demand or the customer relationships we need to improve the maintain and build that growth trajectory. So we are now looking to appoint a community and sale lead to manage the community development, customer relations and sales work across all of our schools, working with the School Principals and Head of Educational Operations and Operations Manager, who is responsible for staff recruitment, and our Head of training, to ensure that we can really get to know our families, improve what we do, understand their pains and provide solutions for what they need.
Who you are:
Someone who cares about what we do – a linguist, an educational professional and / or a parent who sees the importance of offering something unique and new in the early years. You will have a strong track record in customer relations, communications and sales, having a demonstrable history of building communities of advocates in the work that you do and achieving sales targets across the business.
The systems we use, for you to become expert in, include:
Hubspot Sales CRM – the sales ecosystem that will be your frontline sales planner and communications tool. It links in with our marketing activity and so you will be working closely with the Marketing Manager on origination even as you will be solely responsible for closing all deals
Jotform – our online registration platform that confirms a registration
EY Man – our nursery management system through which you can ascertain availability of spaces
Slack – which is our internal comms / PM management system which you will use to liaise with the school managers on new sales, bookings and the such
G-Suite – Google Calendar, for booking settling in / reviewing show arounds and Google Drive / docs for the storing of all sales and registration data
What you’ll be doing:
Parent Communications / Customer Relations – Fielding calls centrally to vet what goes through to the school principals and teams. We use Slack as an internal communications platform – kind of like enterprise version of Whatsapp and Hubspot Tasks to communicate, internally, who needs to call who about what but general notifications on attendance etc can be directed via these platforms. Husbpot CRM also has a customer services platform that you will monitor on a daily basis, along with our inbound email inboxes to field and respond to enquiries and pass along internally
Content / Copy Review- Reviewing draft observations and diary entries at the end of each day prior to publication to ensure that grammar and vocabulary are correct, engaging and exciting and best represents the business and brand
Sales – new parents book in via our website, creating notifications to the various school channels on slack and so you’ll be giving them a courtesy call at every stage of their journey to see how their experience was, whether they’d received our automated follow ups, whether they know about our stay and plays / parent training and other services; whether they know about our events programme and cultural festival programme and whether they’d like to register
Reporting – reviewing customer feedback surveys to advise central executive on brand perceptions and strategic improvements we can make to delivery and being central to the presentation of sales data to the central team on a monthly basis on occupancy of schools, budget targets met / lost and strategic considerations to improve conversion
Which Service Models you’ll do this for:
Nursery schools – our core business, offering bilingual day nursery care to children across our locations at Westminster, City of London and Canada Water, 10 hours / day, 51 weeks a year
Weekend Schools – offering language schools at those same sites across the weekends
Holiday camps – liaising with primary schools, termly nursery schools and other childcare operators in the communities we serve to highlight holiday camp programmes to improve utilisation
Nannying – working with our Ops manager to provide enquiring families with bilingual home based educators on a rolling basis
What we can do for you:
Commitment to CPD programmes through online MOOCs to further your knowledge and skills
In house accredited training to see you progress in your knowledge and skills in early years education.
Untapped level 2 training programmes in everything from First Aid through to Food Hygiene, practice led modules on baby care through to understanding autism – all paid for by us.
Flexible / remote working
Share of commission on new sales
Training Days each term to get together, relax, talk and understand how to do what we do better
Share options in the business TBN
You will have monthly targets for each cost centre but with a priority focus on delivery 2-3 X full time equivalent net additional children to each school each month and to increase conversions generally to 70% of our enquiry pipeline or above. As with all sales roles, there is a commission element to your overall package that should see you double your basic with bonuses delivered on the month based on retrospective analysis of sales performance at month’s end.
Note that all positions are contingent on the terms of our safer recruitment policy being met.
