About the role:

This is a linchpin position for Horizon Strategy. This role is unique in that it will have a significant impact on the business. It is a dual role that covers business and project operations. It is for someone who is a go-getter and is looking to constantly improve the practices, processes, and structures of the business. This role will be reporting directly to the C-suite and will be based in London

Responsibilities & deliverables:

50% Business Operations, 50% Project Management

Business Operations:

  • Expenses/invoice management
  • Xero expense reconciliation
  • Diary management
  • Office management
  • Flights and travel
  • Database management (suppliers, partners, clients)
  • PA assistance to the two founders (calendar management, expenses)

Project Management (including fieldwork and financial project management):

  • Client interaction, especially in relation to the smooth fieldwork management
  • Supplier management including
  • Quality control of recruitment
  • Auditing and improvement of supplier database
  • Research input including
  • Recruitment screeners
  • Discussion guide assistance
  • Transcription of research findings
  • Research/project logistics including
  • Selection and preparation of virtual and agile research environments
  • Physical venue booking
  • Incentives management
  • Financial project management:
  • Time and cost management against planners
  • Financial reporting (Xero)
  • Knowledge on project management software (Asana) a plus

Essential capabilities required:

  • 5+ years of experience in research agencies or consulting
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and their respective research components simultaneously
  • Experience in business operations management including elements of accounting
  • Experience of executive support function
  • Absolute fluency in spoken and written English is a must
  • Educated to college (Bachelor) degree level or equivalent
  • Advanced PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills are essential

Timings and package:

Full-time or part-time (3 days/week min)
