STOIX is partnering with a Global IT & Technology business with offices in London that are building out and transforming its finance function as part of a growth strategy focused on its International markets.
The Group Financial Controller is now seeking support from an International/EU VAT professional to help them problem-solve the current International VAT position and then conceptualise/design optimum structures, processes, controls and ongoing VAT-efficient environment, working closely with the sales teams.
You will be taking a hands-on, lead role in developing compliance protocols as well as acting as an advisor to the business: sales, finance & operations, liaising with the external advisors and the various country finance leads.
Ideal Profile:
Excellent knowledge of best practice UK and International VAT processes, compliance, reporting and law;
Relevant qualification (CIOT/CTA/equivalent) or ACCA/ACA with strong experience in Indirect Tax
Experience working closely with advisors and 3rd party advisors/regulators
Fast-paced, solution-focused and inquisitive attitude
Hands-on compliance experience with ability and ambition to do more advisory projects
Excellent communication skills with the ability to illustrate technical information in a simpler and clearer format for a plethora of stakeholders;
Comfortable in a “change” environment, with the confidence to provide challenge, suggestions and advice
