About this Job

Wallbrook is always on the look out for highly motivated graduates to join our team of investigative due diligence researchers. The successful candidates will have completed (or will be studying towards) a qualitative research degree – in history, politics, languages or other similar fields – and be fluent in a foreign language. We are especially interested in candidates with fluency in European languages, particularly German, Italian, or Russian, although encourage candidates with other language competencies to apply.

Who are we?

Wallbrook is a leading global intelligence and compliance risk advisory firm that specializes in enhanced due diligence investigations. Our team’s regional and sectoral expertise help the world’s foremost organisations make informed, ethical decisions about the professionals and businesses they work with, the assets they acquire, and where and how they operate. As the only certified B-Corp in our industry, we are part of a global movement of businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.

Wallbrook is entirely employee owned, and our shareholding structure – approximately 60% of our staff own stock or options in our business – was a key factor in our B-Corp certification. In 2022, we were also ranked by B Lab as amongst the top 5% of all B Corps for employee-friendly policies.

Wallbrook is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics.

The Role

Analysts begin their career at Wallbrook specialising in open source due diligence work. These reports provide an overview of major compliance red flags associated with a target company or individual, such as corruption, political exposure, and sanctions. Typically, analysts will have a region of focus based on their language capabilities, though they will work on reports from multiple jurisdictions: our aim is to train confident due diligence researchers able to navigate complicated, cross-border issues. Analysts might spend their morning researching a high-profile corruption indictment in the US before turning their attention to unravelling an obscure offshore corporate structure in the afternoon.

Once fully trained, analysts will expand the scope of their work – taking on more complicated projects in conjunction with senior staff; developing regional expertise in political, ESG, regulatory and compliance risks; and training new members of staff. For exceptional candidates, our analyst role lays the foundations for career progression at Wallbrook.

Why Apply to Wallbrook

Training: We pride ourselves on producing market-leading work. To maintain these high standards, we provide comprehensive one-to-one training. New analysts work closely with an experienced researcher over the first 12 months of their career to bring them up to speed and equip them with all the skills necessary to become an expert in due diligence and compliance. Senior staff actively work with new joiners to ensure that they hit the ground running, and continue to mentor analysts over the course of their career at Wallbrook.

Career development: Having mastered our core entry level product, analysts are exposed to a range of career paths. As a fast-expanding company, we ensure that employees are given all the tools to develop professionally – whether it’s in-depth research, business development, client exposure or management. We build our company from the ground up, and many of our most senior staff started with us as analysts.

Company culture: Wallbrook is a dynamic company with a young and energetic team. All members of our team work together to create an environment in which our staff are able to reach their potential. We offer competitive pay, clear career progression, a relaxed office workspace and great coffee!
